Mr. Concannon joined the Firm as a Partner in 2019, and devotes his time almost exclusively to the practice of Family Law. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Concannon was a Partner at Finnerty, Canda & Concannon, P.C., where he practiced almost exclusively to Family Law for fifteen (15) years. During his tenure at the Firm, Mr. Concannon worked closely with John E. Finnerty, Esq., one of the leading Matrimonial Attorneys in the State of New Jersey, and assisted Mr. Finnerty in crafting new Court Rule changes and proposed Statutory Amendments in the State of New Jersey. Mr. Concannon specializes in complex financial issues, high net worth cases, business valuations, alimony, child support and college contribution cases, custody and relocation matters, domestic violence matters, and other complex family matters. Mr. Concannon has prepared hundreds of Marital Settlement Agreements, PreMarital Agreements, and Consent Orders resolving contentious Family matters. Mr. Concannon has conducted numerous depositions, domestic violence trials, divorce trials, and post-divorce hearings. Mr. Concannon has also filed numerous Legal Briefs and Motions with the Appellate Division in appeal of, and in defense of, Court rulings.
Mr. Concannon graduated on the Dean’s List at Seton Hall University in 1994, earning a B.A. with a double major in Criminal Justice and Spanish. Mr. Concannon was employed in the position of Bi-lingual (Spanish) Probation Officer for the State of New Jersey, Bergen County from 1996 to 2002. While working full-time as a Probation Officer, Mr. Concannon earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2002, and passed the Bar in both New Jersey and New York in 2002. Mr. Concannon was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, in 2003. Mr. Concannon was subsequently admitted to the New York Bar in 2006. Mr. Concannon served as Law Clerk for Harold C. Hollenbeck, J.S.C. in the Superior Court, Family Part, Bergen County, for the 2002-2003 Term.
Mr. Concannon has been voted a Super Lawyer by his peers. He is a longstanding Member of the American Bar Association since 2003, the New York State Bar Association since 2003, and the New Jersey Bar Association since 2006. Mr. Concannon is a Master at the Barry Croland Inns of Court, Family Law Section, and also serves as an Expert Panelist on the Early Settlement Program (ESP) for the Superior Court, Family Part, Bergen County, where he assists other Attorneys and Clients resolve their pending cases.
Outside of the practice of law, Mr. Concannon volunteers as a Basketball Coach for St. Joseph’s Academy.
