Bio
Mr. Concannon joined the Firm as a Partner in 2019, where he devotes his time almost exclusively to the practice of Family Law. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Concannon was a Partner at Finnerty, Canda & Concannon, P.C., where he practiced Family Law, almost exclusively, for fifteen (15) years. During his tenure at the Firm, Mr. Concannon worked closely with the late John E. Finnerty, Esq., one of the leading Matrimonial Attorneys in the State of New Jersey. During his tenure, he assisted Mr. Finnerty in crafting proposed Court Rule changes for review by the Committee and New Jersey Supreme Court and also proposed Statutory Amendments in the State of New Jersey for review by the Legislature.
Mr. Concannon specializes in complex financial issues, high net worth cases, business valuations, alimony (including cases involving cohabitation, retirement, and changed financial circumstances) child support (including UIFSA jurisdiction matters) and college contribution cases, custody and relocation matters (including UCCJEA jurisdiction matters), domestic violence matters, and other complex family matters.
Mr. Concannon has prepared hundreds of Marital Settlement Agreements, PreMarital Agreements, and Consent Orders resolving contentious Family matters. Mr. Concannon has conducted numerous depositions, domestic violence trials, divorce trials, and post-divorce proceedings, discovery, and hearings. Mr. Concannon has argued Appellate Court Matters and has filed numerous Legal Briefs and Motions with the Appellate Division, and also with the Supreme Court, in appeal of, and in defense of, Trial Court and Appellate Court rulings
Mr. Concannon graduated on the Dean’s List at Seton Hall University in 1994, earning a B.A. with a double major in Criminal Justice and Spanish. Mr. Concannon was employed in the position of Bi-lingual (Spanish) Probation Officer for the State of New Jersey, Bergen County from 1996 to 2002. While employed full-time as a Probation Officer, Mr. Concannon attended law school and earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2002, and passed both the New Jersey Bar and New York Bar in 2002. Mr. Concannon served as Law Clerk for Harold C. Hollenbeck, J.S.C. in the Superior Court, Family Part, Bergen County, for the 2002-2003 Term.
Mr. Concannon is admitted to the New Jersey Bar and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, in 2003. Mr. Concannon is also admitted to the New York Bar in 2006, and is more recently admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, in 2019.
Mr. Concannon has been voted a Super Lawyer by his peers. He is a longstanding Member of the American Bar Association since 2003, the New Jersey State Bar Association since 2003, and the New York Bar Association since 2006. Mr. Concannon is a Master at the Barry Croland Inns of Court, Family Law Section.
Mr. Concannon serves as an Expert Panelist on the Early Settlement Program (ESP) for the Superior Court, Family Part, Bergen County, where he assists other Attorneys and their Clients resolve their divorce and post-judgment cases pending before the Court.
Mr. Concannon is Fluent in Spanish, and has been Certified Bilingual by the State of New Jersey.
Outside of the practice of law, Mr. Concannon volunteers as a CYO Basketball Coach.
